Black metal’s newest stars Deafheaven have announced a co-headlining tour with melo-death legends Carcass this November. Support will be provided by Richmond art-sludge outfit Inter Arma, making this a pretty amazingly stacked bill.
That tour will hit the NYC area for a couple local shows. They’ll be in Asbury Park, NJ at the Stone Pony on November 17, ad then they’ll be on Long Island in Patchogue, at The Emporium on November 20. Tickets for the Long Island show go on sale Friday (8/26) at 10 AM, and tickets for NJ go on sale at the same time, though they aren’t yet listed on ticketmaster.
All three bands have been busy this year. For Deafheaven, this is just the latest mega-tour, as they previously hit the road with Anthrax, Lamb of God and Power Trip, and they have assorted dates coming up with the likes of Ghost and Slipknot. Carcass and Deafheaven also crossed paths at this year’s Chicago Open Air fest. Carcass just finished up another massive tour with Crowbar, Ghoul and Night Demon. And Inter Arma released their great new LP Paradise Gallows and headlined a tour of their own earlier this year.
