Crazy Town singer Shifty Shellshock dead at 49

Crazy Town singer Shifty Shellshock (real name Seth Binzer) died on Monday (June 24) at age 49, according to reports from Newsweek and the Los Angeles medical examiner. He was reportedly found in his home in LA, though no cause of death has been reported at this time. UPDATE: His rep, Howie Hubberman, said it was an accidental drug overdose.

Crazy Town formed in 1995 under the name The Brimstone Sluggers, and their 1999 debut album The Gift of Game birthed the band’s breakout single “Butterfly.” They followed that with their sophomore album Darkhorse in 2002 before breaking up the following year, and they later reunited and released The Brimstone Sluggers in 2015. Shifty also released his sole solo album Happy Love Sick in 2004.

Rest in peace, Shifty.
