Converge drummer Ben Koller has recently been teasing the first proper Converge album since 2017’s The Dusk In Us, and now they’re in the midst of testing out some new material on tour. Their recent setlists have included two new songs, “W.W.N.T.S.” and “Doom to Bloom,” and though we haven’t seen any footage of those songs yet, we’re keeping an eye out. (Let us know if you have or find any!) Meanwhile, you can watch some attendee-taken video of other parts of their show at Detroit’s Lincoln Factory on Saturday (5/10) below.

About Converge’s new album, Ben recently wrote on Twitter/X, “I have tracked 17 new Converge songs on drums and I’m not even done. This is insane 🤯.” A week later, he added, “I suppose Converge will release one of these new songs eventually to get you guys all excited. I wish we could just smother you with everything in one shot but we cant. I started thinking about what that first song might be and there are so many good ones. Can’t wait.” In a comment on the BrooklynVegan Instagram, Ben confirmed that this will be the first “proper” Converge album since 2017. In the time since then, Converge also released the Bloodmoon album with Chelsea Wolfe and Cave In’s Stephen Brodsky. Stay tuned for more.
Converge’s tour comes to NYC when they play the Rich Hall memorial show at Brooklyn Monarch on June 14. All upcoming dates are listed below.
