San Francisco atmospheric black metallers Bosse-de-Nage have announced their first album in eight years, Hidden Fires Burn Hottest, due March 6 via The Flenser (pre-order). It was recorded with frequent collaborator Jack Shirley and mixed by Richard Chowenhill, the latter of whom plays guitar for Bosse-de-Nage’s Flenser labelmates Agriculture.
The first single is “No Such Place,” an eight-minute trek through black metal, post-rock, and a little post-hardcore/screamo that makes for a very promising first taste. Check it out below.
Bosse-de-Nage’s only upcoming live date at the moment is the Netherlands’ Roadburn Festival in April.
