Better Lovers–the new metalcore supergroup with Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato, three members of Every Time I Die, and Will Putney (Fit For An Autopsy, END)–have released “Two Alive Amongst The Dead,” their first new song since putting out their debut EP God Made Me An Animal earlier this year. It’s another 2000s-style metalcore banger that picks up right where the EP left off, and it instantly feels like one of this band’s best songs yet. Check it out below.
Greg says, “This song is about saying fuck you to the societal and institutional pressure to fall for “me versus you”/”us versus them” divisional tactics and realizing that we’re stronger when we remember the ways we’re the same, trying to find commonalities instead of differences. Understanding and finding compassion for one another instead of allowing ourselves to be separated and controlled. Brothers and sisters. Pieces of the same consciousness.”
The band also reveals that they’ll be back in the studio this January to work on their debut full-length. Stay tuned for more on that.
Better Lovers are throwing their BLissmas holiday shows in Buffalo this December, and they’re playing Sick New World next year.
