A lot’s going on in the world of Saosin right now. They’re gearing up to release Live From The Garden Amphitheater, a live album recorded at their 2023 20th anniversary shows with both lead vocalists (Anthony Green and Cove Reber) that includes a full performance of their debut EP Translating The Name, covers (of Sunny Day Real Estate, At the Drive-In, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Blindside), and more; they have a re-recorded “Saosin’s Version” of their self-titled album on the way in order to give the album a long-awaited vinyl re-release (due to rights issues with Capitol Records); they’re about to go on their first tour with Cove in 14 years; and they have new music in the works. With all this going on, we caught up with founding member Beau Burchell for an hour-long, career-spanning discussion on the BrooklynVegan podcast that ranges from Beau’s pre-Saosin days to the band’s future plans. The Saosin tour begins on May 30 and it hits NJ’s Asbury Lanes on June 12 and NYC’s Webster Hall on June 13. They’re also playing a number of festivals, including Furnace Fest, When We Were Young, and more. All dates are listed below. The live album comes out July 19 via Born Losers Records.
