Compton rapper YG, the man behind last year’s very good My Krazy Life, was shot at a recording studio in LA this morning, TMZ reports. They say he was shot three times in the hip at around 1:45 AM in Studio City. He was apparently driven to a hospital, and was “very uncooperative” when police tried to interview him. His condition is unknown, and no suspect has been named.
YG is supposed to tour this summer with J. Cole, Big Sean and Jeremih.
UPDATE: Pitchfork points to a tweet from rapper blogger Karen Civil that says, “YG is doing fine. Nothing life-threatening.”
