A few weeks ago, Cardi B sat down with Bernie Sanders to have a conversation in a Detroit nail salon that was filmed for a 2020 presidential campaign video for Bernie that’s meant to appeal to young voters. Today, the full 12-minute video has been released. They discussed Donald Trump’s racism, police brutality against black men and minorities, immigration reform, health insurance, student loans/debt, wages, their shared love of FDR, and more. It ends with Cardi telling her followers that she and Bernie are here to educate them, and that she hopes their questions have been answers, and then Bernie encourages young people to vote. “If we have young people voting in large numbers, I have zero doubt that Donald Trump will be defeated,” Bernie says.
