YG made one of the best albums of 2016 with Still Brazy, and at least part of what made it so great was that it was home to the anthem of the year (or the next four years), “Fuck Donald Trump.” In continued protest against Trump’s presidency, people have been hacking the broadcast signals of radio stations around the country and playing that very song.
According to Associated Press, “Radio stations in South Carolina and several other states say their signals were hacked and interrupted by an anti-Donald Trump rap song that contained obscene language.
Multiple media outlets report a radio station in Salem, South Carolina, had its signal hacked Monday night and replaced by a rap played on a loop for at least 15 minutes, making a vulgar reference to Trump.”
Buzzfeed adds that the hackers also played it on stations in San Angelo, TX; Murfreesboro, TN; Evansville, IA; and Louisville, KY. They also add that some stations are playing it intentionally.
The South Carolina station where it played for 15 minutes, Sunny 107.9, posted a statement on their Facebook but since deleted it.
YG will be in NYC for day 2 of Governors Ball, the same day as Phoenix, Wu-Tang Clan, Rae Sremmurd, A$AP Ferg, and more. Single-day tickets went on sale today.
