Cher, A Tribe Called Quest, Ozzy Osbourne, Dave Matthews Band, Mary J. Blige, Kool & the Gang, Foreigner, and Peter Frampton have been announced as the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Others nominated this year that are not getting inducted include Oasis, Mariah Carey, Sinéad O’Connor, Sade, Lenny Kravitz, Eric B. & Rakim, and Jane’s Addiction. It’ll be Ozzy’s second time getting inducted; he’s already in the Rock Hall as a member of Black Sabbath.
The Rock Hall will also be awarding the Musical Influence Award to Alexis Korner, John Mayall, and Big Mama Thurston; the Musical Excellence Award to Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick, and Norman Whitfield: and the Ahmet Ertegun Award for music industry professionals to Suzanne de Passe.
The induction ceremony happens in Cleveland on October 19 and will stream live on Disney+. It will later air on ABC and will also be available on Hulu.
