Prodigy of Mobb Deep passed away last week at age 42, and a public funeral for him will be held in NYC this Thursday (6/29) at Frank E. Campbell – The Funeral Chapel (1076 Madison Ave). Billboard points out that there will be open public visitation from 2-5 PM.
Countless artists have paid tribute in the time since Prodigy’s untimely passing. Some recent ones include Eminem and Kendrick Lamar rapping Prodigy verses on Peter Rosenberg’s show, and a big tribute show in Prospect Park with The Soul Rebels, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and Kirk Knight.
