Knocked Loose and Denzel Curry are going on a co-headlining tour together starting in September, and ahead of that they’re stopping in Brooklyn for a free show at a skatepark. It happens on Tuesday (7/28) at Substance Skatepark (314 Scholes St) and it’s with NYHC torch-carriers Combust. RSVP to attend.
Knocked Loose and Denzel released their collaborative single “Hive Mind” back in February.
This show announcement comes amid what’s been a busy time for Denzel brushing shoulders with the hardcore community. As Stereogum points out, he joined Pain of Truth on stage in LA last Wednesday and then at Warped Tour in Long Beach a few days later, and you can watch videos of those performances below. He also replied to a Needle Drop tweet saying he’s been listening to Drain’s 2025 album Is Your Friend and Pain of Truth’s new single “Unforgiven,” which was two minutes after he tweeted, “Slowly Flirting With The Idea of Creating A Hardcore Tape. And if that blows up I’ll Probably Flirt with idea of not rapping as much. Who knows.” Hardcore / heavy music is of course not something new for Denzel; he collaborated with Fucked Up and Bad Brains and covered Rage Against the Machine seven years ago.
