NYC’s annual Blue Note Jazz Festival runs June 1 – 30 at various venues around the city (including many at the Blue Note itself). This year’s lineup includes Pat Metheny, Dr. John, The Isley Brothers, Kool & The Gang, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jacob Collier, Hiromi, Eddie Palmieri, Cassandra Wilson, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, McCoy Tyner, Incognito, Jean-Luc Ponty, Henry Butler, Terence Blanchard, The Hot Sardines, Dayme Arocena and more.
The festival includes two free shows that are also part of Central Park SummerStage: Laura Mvula, Taylor McFerrin & Marcus Gilmore, and Blue Lab Beats on June 17; and Robert Glasper Experiment, Phony Ppl, and Tank & The Bangas on June 25.
