STARCLEANER REUNION (OPENING FOR TOPS, NILUFER YANYA)
NYC motorik dreampop group Starcleaner Reunion will be on tour this fall opening a few dates for Nilüfer Yanya in September and TOPS after that. Dates with TOPS include NYC’s Webster Hall on October 1. You can also catch Starcleaner Reunion this Sunday (8/3) at The Meadows as part of Bazooka Fest with Pains of Being Pure at Heart, The Moles and more.
SAM SMITH
Sam Smith now has a total of 24 shows at 1100-capacity Brooklyn venue Warsaw in October, November and December.
PETE & BAS
Pete & Bas, the septuagenarian British rap duo who are part of the same Sindhu World scene as The Northern Boys (remember “Party Time”? ), have announced they’ll be coming to North America this fall for their first ever tour of the US and Canada.
WE BELONG HERE FEST
The Brooklyn edition of dance music festival on October 3-5 at Greenpoint Waterfront. The lineup:
- Friday (10/3): Gordo, Sidepiece, Sistek, Jester b2b Girlcode
- Saturday (10/4): Elderbrook, MGMT (DJ set), Tobiah, Blu Detiger (DJ set)
- Sunday (10/5): Carl Cox, Prospa, Franky Way, Aqutie
JAZZ FROM HELL FESTIVAL (IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT & MORE)
Experimental metal vets Imperial Triumphant will headline the JAZZ From HELL Festival at Le Poisson Rouge on December 12. It also features sets from Goldstar Metropole Orchestra, Jerseyband, and Kilter.
MATTLEY FEST (KING MISSILE, MORE)
Mattley Mountain, a longtime fixture in the North Brooklyn music scene both as a musician and as a DJ, has been going through a rough patch, health-wise, and has racked up a lot of medical bills. A benefit, Mattley Fest, will take place Saturday, August 9 at The Gutter in Williamsburg with King Missile, The High Stride, Live Ones, and more.
