Fred again.. has announced a new album, ten days, due out digitally on September 6 and on vinyl on October 25. Fred says the album is “ten songs about ten days,” continuing, “theres been a lot of biggg mad crazy moments in the past year but basically all of these are about really very small quiet intimate moments. some of them are like the most intensely joyful things i have felt, and some of them are the other side of things. and some days I don’t want to speak about loads cos I’m not the only person it was an important day for if that makes sense.”
ten days features the previously released “adore u” featuring Obongjayar, “ten” ft. Jozzy and Jim Legxacy, and “places to be” ft. Anderson .Paak and CHIKA. Also appearing on it are his regular collaborators Skrillex and Four Tet (who he played Madison Square Garden and Coachella with last year, among other shows), Sampha, SOAK, Duskus, Joy Anonymous, Emmylou Harris, The Japanese House and Scott Hardkiss. Fred also recently released a Rooftop Sessions mix, which was recorded and filmed in front of friends and family in London last year. “In the last couple years I’ve had less and less time to spend wit my absolute main people, and I’ve also been making a new recordddd,” he wrote. “So i wanted to get all these people together and have an evening in london and play them some of the tunes and jus have a nice time really. Some of the songs on this are on the record that ive jus finished/am finishing. Watching this evening unfold jus puts an real infinity smile on my face. I find it really funny to people watch even though these are actually MY people lol.” Watch below.
