You may remember furry yellow puppet Flat Eric from the video for Mr. Ozio‘s 1999 international hit “Flat Beat,” or a subsequent series of Levis ads that capitalized on its popularity. Mr. Ozio has brought Flat Eric back for the video of his new single “Hand In The Fire” which features vocals by Charli XCX. Directed by Meat Dept, it has Flat Eric and a Charli version of Flat Eric driving, living an endless loop. (Literally and perhaps spiritually.) It’s all very French. “Hand in the Fire” is from Mr. Ozio’s new EP of the same name which is out now via Ed Banger/Because.
Charli XCX is also promising a new album that she says “could change the sound of pop music.”
