Avant-garde international group Fievel Is Glaque , who you may have seen open for Stereolab last year, have signed to Fat Possum and released double single “I’m Scanning Things I Can’t See” / “Dark Dancing” today, marking their label debut. The songs come with a Joey Agresta-directed short film with music videos for both tracks and an oblique narrative featuring vocalist Ma Clément and multi-instrumentalist Zach Phillips. “Dark Dancing” and “I’m Scanning Things I Can’t See” both feature bobbing synths and echoing vocals with jazzy chord shifts and textured bass and percussion. Fievel Is Glaque released “I’m Scanning Things I Can’t See”/”Dark Dancing” in tandem with a tour announcement, spanning four cities across Northeastern North America. They come to NYC on November 2 at Music Hall of Williamsburg.
