Rory Scovel‘s absurdist, confrontational style has made for memorable talk show appearances, and the same holds true for his new Netflix special, Rory Scovel Tries Stand-Up for the First Time. Don’t let the title throw you: he’s been doing stand-up since 2003, and the new special takes a left turn midway through into a version of his own talk show, complete with guest Jack White. You can catch Rory on tour this fall, including NYC stops at Gramercy Theatre on December 2 and The Bell House on December 3. Tickets for Gramercy Theatre are on Citi cardmember presale now and go on sale to the general public on Friday, August 11 at 1 PM; tickets to The Bell House go on sale Friday at 10 AM.
