Comedian Julio Torres has been very busy this year, releasing his feature film directorial debut, Problemista, in the spring via A24, and then his HBO series Fantasmas this summer. Both are fantastic. In the fall he’ll be taking his new standup show, Color Theories, on the road.
Dates include a Brooklyn show at The Bell House on October 26 and tickets are on sale. All dates are below.
As to what “Color Theories” is, exactly, we’re not 100% sure, but his 2019 HBO special “My Favorite Shapes” was a surreal, hilarious twist on prop comedy, so we’d bet this won’t be your average standup set. This summer while promoting Fantasmas, Julio stopped by The Tonight Show to share his impersonations of colors with Jimmy Fallon, so that may be part of it. You can watch that below.
