“I might get sued for this, but…” Joe Pera says in the announcement video for his 2024 The Peras Tour, adding in the description, “the name was too good to pass up.” If you don’t get the joke from the tour name alone, the video makes it clear what it’s referencing, with scenes of Joe cleverly juxtaposed against Taylor Swift doing similar things onstage and off. Hopefully the Swift organization either doesn’t get wind of this or has a sense of humor. Watch the announcement video below.
The Peras Tour starts with multi-night runs in Madison, Bloomington and Denver and includes stops in Columbus, Kalamazoo, Chicago, DC, Philly, Iowa City, and more. Tickets for all dates are currently on presale with code BEEFSTEAK and go on sale to the general public on Friday, November 3 at 10 AM local time.
There is currently no NYC stop on the 2024 tour but Joe lives here and has shows lined up with collaborator Dan Licata at The Bell House on November 28 (Thanksgiving show) and December 19 (Christmas show). All dates are listed below.
