Thurston Moore, who released his ninth solo album in September, is curating a week of performances at The Stone on December 4-7 and just ahead of that he’s got a couple other NYC appearances.
He’ll be at The 92nd Street Y on December 1, where he’ll be in conversation with music writer and onetime Rolling Stone editor Anthony DeCurtis about his new memoir Sonic Life. Then Thurston will head to National Sawdust on December 2 for the Grammy Museum’s “A New York Evening” series featuring a live performance and a talk with writer Jenn Pelly about his new album, memoir and more.
As for The Stone residency, all four nights feature unique collaborations and guests, including Moore’s Sonic Youth bandmate Lee Ranaldo, Fred Frith, Zoh Amba, and more.
