Prog metal institution Opeth are adding to their institutional status by publishing a new book. It’s called The Book of Opeth and it features photos and interviews of the band from their beginning in the early ’90s until now. The book comes in both a limited and regular edition, and frontman Mikael Akerfeldt has published a video where he looks at the book and talks about some of the photos. You can watch that below.
The book also comes with a new 7″, which features live versions of Opeth staples “Atonement” and “Demon of the Fall,” the latter of which is acoustic. You can pre-order The Book of Opeth, which comes out on April 15.
Opeth also have dates coming up, including a huge Radio City show in NYC on October 1 (tickets) and a Denmark show with Iron Maiden and Ghost.
