Hudson River Park’s Little Island has announced its 2024 lineup of free and low cost shows and events that happen June through September.
This year features nine world premieres throughout the four-month season at Little Island’s 700-seat amphitheatre, The Amph, including “How Long Blues” (June 1-23), a collaboration between Twyla Tharp, T Bone Burnett and David Mansfield; and “The Manhattan Variations” (August 14-18), a new piece from Chris Thile and Claire Coffee about “finding oneself in a little cocktail bar on the Lower East Side.” Tickets for all shows at The Amph are $25.
Other notable events: Justin Vivian Bond is hosting a week of cabaret at The Glade from July 24-28 (free); and Gio Escobar and Standing on the Corner curate a week of free form jazz leaning music and genre blending experiences from August 28 – September 1 (free).
